There is a demand for food products that not only taste good, but enhance the life expectancy of persons. "PAX" Yogurt, produced at the Mount Saint Benedict Monastery, is one such food product.
High quality live active yogurt cultures, rich in probiotics, with excellent health benefits to the consumer, are included in the "PAX" Yogurt formula. These are as follows: streptococcus thermophilus, lactobacillus bulgaricus, lactobacillus rhamnosus, and a selected strain of lactobacillus plantarum.
The "PAX" Yogurt staff is well trained and each batch of yogurt is created under a sterilized and sealed production area. No artificial preservatives are added.
"PAX" Yogurt is available at the PAX ABBEY SHOP on the Mount. It can also be purchased at all branches of Massy Stores, Xtra Foods, Tru Valu, JTA and several other food outlets throughout the country. The containers are of three sizes: 32 oz., 22 oz. and 10 oz. "PAX" Yogurt Drinks are sold in 250 ml. containers.
In addition to the natural brand, there are the following flavours: almond, guava, passion fruit, pineapple, soursop, strawberry and vanilla. The "PAX" Yogurt drinks are available in the following flavours: Almond, Guava, Soursop, Cherry, Vanilla and Coconut.
The production and marketing of "PAX" Yogurt products at Mount Saint Benedict Monastery is one small attempt to seek the welfare of the health-conscious citizens of our beloved twin-island State of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
